Child Porn Indictment Served to Hackettstown Sex Offender

Kevin Rease charged with distributing images of child sex abuse over the Internet.

A Hackettstown man was indicted Friday in federal court on charges of distributing child pornography over the Internet. Kevin Rease, 33, a registered sex offender and employee of a Paterson law firm, was charged on two counts of distribution and one count of possession of images of child sex abuse, according to U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman. Rease was charged last month with one count of distributing images of child sex abuse over the Internet and has been held in federal custody since. Since he is a previously registered sex offender, Fishman said Rease faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison or maximum penalty of 40 years in prison if convicted in addition to a possible fine of $250,000 per count. Jets RB Goodson Arrested on Gun, Drug Charges

The Irvington native signed a 3-year, $6 million contract with the Jets in March.

Jets running back Mike Goodson was sent to a Morris County jail following his arrest on drug and weapons charges in Denville Friday. Goodson, 25, was the passenger in a GMC Yukon stopped in the left center lane of I-80 West when a tow truck came upon them and called 911 early Friday morning, according to multiple reports. The tow truck driver reportedly was concerned about the intoxicated condition in which he found Goodson and the driver of the Yukon. Goodson was transported to Saint Claire’s Hospital in nearby Boonton and eventually charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun, and possession of a hollow-point bullet, according to ESPN. New Jersey Ranks Third in %&!#@ing Survey

Swearing study ranked the most and least courteous states in the country.

Third place? We couldn’t do better than #&@$ing third place? New Jersey residents were beaten out by Ohio and Maryland in a survey ranking individuals most likely to drop swear words on a complete stranger during a phone conversation. On the flip side, analysis by the Marchex Institute found that Washington, Massachusetts and Arizona topped the list of state residents least likely to lose their cool. Marchex examined more than 600,000 calls over a year that were placed by consumers to businesses in 30 different industries. The mobile advertising company also ranked the most courteous states: South Carolina, North Carolina and Maryland. And the least courteous states: Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Indiana. Search On for Man Accused of Trying to Lure Teens

Mt. Olive Police report a man in his late-30s approached two girls inside Dunkin' Donuts, then again in parking lot.

A man driving a black sedan in Flanders is being sought by Mt. Olive Police after two teen girls said he tried to lure them into his vehicle, authorities are reporting. The girls, ages 13 and 14, whose names have been withheld, said a man approximately 35 to 40 years of age approached them inside the Dunkin’ Donuts on Rt. 206 in Flanders about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and attempted to engage them in conversation, Officer Michael Russell said. The teens did not reciprocate or interact with the man, Russell said. When the girls left after making their purchase, the man, now in his vehicle, tried talking to them again, Russell said.
