Woman Crashed Party to Steal Credit Cards, Police Say

Hackettstown resident popped into a Hopatcong party to use the bathroom and stole credit cards while inside the home, according to report.

A Hackettstown resident is facing charges for allegedly stealing and using credit cards she found at a Hopatcong party last month, police said.

Crystal Ryno, 25, was charged with theft and use of stolen credit cards.

Ryno was allowed into a party at a Fordham Trail home on Sept. 20 to use the bathroom, according to police department spokesman Lt. Thomas Kmetz. Ryno then took three credit cards out of a purse she saw lying on a table, Kmetz said.

According to police, the woman went on to use the stolen cards in Pennsylvania and at a McDonald's and Walmart in Mt. Olive.

Kmetz said Ryno was identified by an investigatingdetective who could see her clearly in surveillance video from the retail establishments. The woman was called into headquarters to speak with police. When she arrived, Ryno was charged without incident and released.
