Police: Teen Tries to Buy Bike With Credit Card Found on Main Street

Mansfield 15-year-old allegedly tried to use the card at Marty's Reliable Cycle last month.

A Mansfield teen tried to buy a bike with a credit card he found on Main Street last month, Hackettstown Police said.

The 15-year-old found a PNC Bank Visa credit card in the 300 block of Main Street on Jan. 2 and then tried to use the card to purchase a Linkin Flat Tide, valued at $126.94, from Marty's Reliable Cycle on Route 46 later that day, Sgt. Darren Tynan said in a statement released Monday.

The teen was charged with receiving a lost credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card and released pending a court appearance.
