Police: Drunken Man Wanted to Finish Beer, Take a Nap

Belvidere resident charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

A drunken man staggered into a Route 46 building Sunday afternoon and told an officer he wanted to finish his beer and take a nap, Hackettstown Police said.

Frank Warkow, 50, of Belvidere, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

According to Sgt. Darren Tynan, Warkow was seen "jay walking" and staggering across Route 46 at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Warkow then entered the Bergen Tool building, Tynan said.

Warkow told the officer he wanted to finish his can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer that he left there earlier and then take a nap, according to Tynan said.

Warkow was arrested, charged and released pending a court appearance.
