Patient Became Violent at Hospital, Cops Say

Hackettstown man punched a wall and threw a phone, police report.

A Hackettstown man was arrested after causing a scene and becoming violent inside Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

George Harden III became uncooperative on Friday with the medical staff at medical center, Tynan said. Harden was admitted to the facility earlier that morning, Tynan said.

Harden allegedly started to pull wires from machines, push medical equipment and threw a phone, Tynan said. He also punched a wall causing damage to the sheetrock, Tynan said.

Harden was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
