Drunken Man Cursed at Kids on Main Street, Police Say

Hackettstown man charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

A drunken man who was cursing at children Sunday on Main Street was arrested for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, Hackettstown Police said.

Diamantino Rocha, 43, of Hackettstown, was yelling profanities at children in the 200 block of Main Street at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. Rocha appeared "highly intoxicated" and "become belligerent with the officers and continued to yell profanities," police said.

Rocha was charged and released pending a court appearance.
