Car Crashes Into Rite Aid, Injures Woman Standing Outside

Warren County man drove through store's main entrance while trying to park Friday morning, police said.

A Warren County woman was injured Friday morning when a man drove his vehicle through the front entrance of Rite Aid on Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown Police said.

Charles Reese Jr., 32, of Washington Township (Warren County), drove over a cement parking block while pulling into a parking spot outside the Rite Aid shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

Reese's vehicle then struck Janine Ball, 45, of Blairstown, who was standing outside the main entrance to the store, Tynan said. The vehicle then continued through the main entrance doors before stopping, Tynan said.

Ball was transported to Hackettstown Regional Medical Center for undisclosed injuries and Reese was taken as a precaution, Tynan said.

Rite Aid's main doors were damaged, but there was no structural damage, Tynan said. The store was closed while police investigated the accident.
