Wrestlers from The Tiger Wrestling Club and Centenary College are joining forces to help a local student this weekend in a major way.
Margaret Walling is a Hackettstown sixth grader who was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. The young lady is currently undergoing treatments to rid the mass.
Those treatments, however, are five days a week for more than six weeks. The Walling family must commute daily to receive the therapies, forcing mounting travel expenses.
Now, local athletes are looking to give back and help.
The Tiger Club and Cyclones will be holding a fund raiser at Hackettstown High School on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. selling autographed copies of 2012-13 themed posters. All proceeds will be given to the Walling family to help offset the cost of travel and medical expenses incurred as the youngster battles cancer.
