Hackettstown's St. Patrick's Day Parade Marches for 6th Year

Annual celebration set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

The sixth annual Hackettstown St. Patrick's Day Parade is expected to attract more than 14,000 people and will feature more than 80 groups from around the region as well as representatives from County Carlow, from sister city Hackettstown, Ireland.

“We’ve worked very hard to expand the parade and improve the lineup to make it a wonderful experience for the whole family," said Jim Sheldon, Hackettstown BID executive director.

The parade steps off at 3:30 p.m. Sunday and will be led by Grand Marshal Denis O'Rourke.

O’Rourke will lead the Irish bands, community groups, bagpipes, drum corps, Centenary College clubs and groups, horses, dancers, fire departments and rescue squads and hometown favorites, the Junior and Senior Colonial Musketeers and the Hackettstown Community Band.
