The Hackettstown Mayor and Council is scheduled to meet Thursday this week, and the agenda shows some additions to police and fire personnel in addition to budgetary actions.

Council will be discussing a resolution to authorize an auction for unused or unnecessary municipal vehicles. In that same category, council will look to authorize the trade in of a police vehicle toward the purchase of a new police vehicle.

The group will hear a presentation from Emex about potential savings on energy costs as well.

The governing body may also approve a new fire department membership as well as a police matron.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Hackettstown Municipal Building on Thursday, Feb. 14. All residents are encouraged to attend.
